hello world.
There's nothing like fear of the blank page. Now that I actually have to add content, I realized I may have nothing to say. What do I want from this website? Who is even going to read this? There are going to be two major challenges for making this—one will be the actual site code and formatting, and the other will be the site content. Apparently I am responsible for both.
After additional consideration, I suspect the format of the site is too blog based, and what I want to do with this isn't very text heavy. Body paragraphs are the main structure of a site format like this one, and I am not sure that I want to write so much. I'm not sure that I have that much to say.
hi, I'm minta.
I'm a real life designer who has too many hobbies and not enough hours in the day.
Right now I'm interested in climbing rocks, drinking tea, taking pictures of the sky, rollerblading, sunshine, maintaining a commonplace book, cooking new recipes, playing mahjong, singing in the car, long walks, practicing 中文, sketching, and learning to longboard fall on my ass.
I have an endless to do list, but currently, here's where I'm at:
- study for my architecture exams (I've passed 3 of 6!)
- fix my sleep schedule
- get to 10 pullups
- replace the placeholder images
- figure out what I actually want to do with my life
These are placeholder images:

Eventually, I will figure this web coding thing out. I have a lot on my plate right now, but I keep finding web projects come back into my orbit. In the past, I've learned the most about HTML and CSS by taking apart pre-coded templates. Right now, I know just enough to break things, so I'm referencing the lovely petrapixel tutorials to bring me back up to speed.
I believe in the dying art of building things yourself for the sake of the process. That is how I've always developed my craft. The shortcuts we take on our way to mastery are only harming ourselves. So if I'm going to do this, I'm going to try to give it the care and attention this little corner of the internet deserves. I don't know when I'll find the time to work on this. But here's what I do know:
I want to be strong and capable and comfortable in my body and secure in my relationships. I want to make beautiful things and live and extrodinary life.
